South African Airlink crash: investigation continues

The accident and Incident Investigation Division(AIID) of the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) are searching for a missing piece of the engine if the SA Airlink Jetstream 41 plane, which crashed landed shortly after take-off from Durban International Airport into the Merebank High School in Juggernaut Road on Thursday 24 September 2009.

South African Civil Aviation Authority Marketing and Corporate Communication Senior Manager, Pindiwe Gwebu stated. " It is not known at what stage of flight this part may have been separated from the engine.
