Shah Rukh Khan buys a 20 million pounds apartment in London

In his current trip to London Shahrukh Khan has ended up finally buying the 20 million pounds apartment in Central London in the Park Lane area. It is the highest cost paid by any Bollywood star ever for a property in foreign land.

“It is a known fact that the King Khan likes to visit London every year for vacation with his family. He generally stays in the best of the hotels on his visits there, but for past few months he was eyeing an apartment in London’s plush area for himself, so that he doesn’t have to stay in hotels every time.

Desi girl performs despite legal wrangle

Chauhan's mind-blowing performance on Friday night would have been a perfect night for the performer, had it not been for legal documents served on her by court officials just before the show.

Sunil Singh, a Durban businessman who allegedly paid Chauhan to perform in S.A in 2001 claimed in court papers that he had paid her but she refused to travel due to the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Why Akshay wanted to party with Shah Rukh Khan?

When Akshay Kumar decided to throw his first party in Bollywood to celebrate the opening collections of his Kambakkht Ishq, he made it a point to invite Shah Rukh Khan even though the superstar was far away in San Francisco.

"Yes, I did call Shah Rukh Khan to invite him. When Kareena and I suddenly decided to have a party, we decided we'd invite the entire industry. This wasn't a party to celebrate our success alone. Akshay has often accused members of the film industry of trying to sabotage his films buthe still wanted everyone to come together for the success of two films following a slump.

I personally called up Shah Rukh and all my colleagues for the party.

Harsh sentence for drug lords

Drug abuse in Chatsworth has spiralled out of control. Rut even amidst the hundreds of lives that are being destroyed and lost to drugs, police are making some progress.

The recent arrest of the so-called 'Drug Queen" Ranjini Chelty. 40 and her associates should be seen as a warning to all dealers in Chatsworth. The prosecution led their case with evidence from a former customer of Chetty's. who had lost a successful business as a result of his addiction to rock cocaine. He had spent an estimated R3.5 million on drugs over a three-year period.

The addict had resorted to employing a man to chain him to burglar guards and attend to his needs in a desperate effort to break his addiction. On the witness stand, he described drug dealers as a "scourge*.

Life lost on Higginson Highway

The Higginson Highway which is notorious for accidents has claimed yet another life

On Friday, 3 July at approximately 8pm Netcare 911 raced to the scene of an accident on the M l Higginson highway just after the Mobeni heights turn off. When they arrived, they were faced with absolute carnage, a driver in a Toyota driving towards Durban lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree and came across the centre island, overturned and landed on top of a VW driving in the opposite direction

This also caused an Uno to be pushed off the road and into a lamp pole. The driver of the Toyota was in a critical condition and paramedies tried for over an hour to resuscitate him, but he died on the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

His physician told the Los Angeles police that he had not injected him (Jackson) with painkillers that his friends say was the cause of his death. It is alleged that Jackson had been using painkillers to reduce pains in his face, as he had undergone several plastic surgical procedures recently
