Jordaan happy with 2010 progress
The Chief Executive of the 2010 FIFA World Cup Danny Jordaan is adamant that everything will be 100% ready for the upcoming soccer spectacle. Jordaan spoke at a media briefing at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. He said that he was happy with the progress made at the stadiums throughout South Africa including the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
"Where else can you walk along an archway of a stadium and have the view of the city? I was happy with what I saw and I can guarantee that all the stadiums will be ready for the 2010 World Cup. The sale of tickets is proof of the positive outlook," said Jordaan.
Jordaan said that two countries Australia and Canada have popped up as the highest number of ticket purchasers since sales began online on Friday 20 February 2009.
