How have you contributed to the community?

For the past 18 years i have conducted 24 craft workshops. The aim of the workshops are to empower children with creative, entrepreneurial and life skills so that they develop holistically.

The programme teaches children the production of items and business theory, which gives them the confidence to start their own business. The launch of my women's club was designed to provide an away from home environment where women can be inspired and strenghtened.

What past experience have driven you to become a community worker?

Teaching in an impoverished community for many years has exposed me to children and adults living in poverty with all types of abuse and pain. I realized I could not change the world but could at least make a difference in their lives.
