Life lost on Higginson Highway
The Higginson Highway which is notorious for accidents has claimed yet another life
On Friday, 3 July at approximately 8pm Netcare 911 raced to the scene of an accident on the M l Higginson highway just after the Mobeni heights turn off. When they arrived, they were faced with absolute carnage, a driver in a Toyota driving towards Durban lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree and came across the centre island, overturned and landed on top of a VW driving in the opposite direction
This also caused an Uno to be pushed off the road and into a lamp pole. The driver of the Toyota was in a critical condition and paramedies tried for over an hour to resuscitate him, but he died on the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
